2 Killed After Being Ejected in Central Pa. Rollover Crash: State Police

A man and a woman were killed after their car rolled over in Juniata County Thursday morning, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The crash happened around 6:31 a.m. on US 322 west at mile marker 197 near the exit for Arch Rock Road, state police say.

Police say Thomas Cruz, 32, of Staten Island, New York, was driving Samia Ali, 31, of Meriden, Connecticut, and two other people when he lost control, hitting the median and rolling the car over.

Their westbound car ended up in the eastbound lanes, according to police.

Cruz and Ali were ejected from the car as it rolled over, and one of them was then hit by another car traveling east on US 322, state police say. A police report indicated they were not wearing their seat belts.

Ali was taken to Central Juniata Emergency Medical SVC, where she later died. Cruz died at the scene.

Two other occupants in Cruz’s car were treated for minor injuries, according to a police report. The driver who hit the ejected individual was uninjured.
